Police Health Security Scheme in MP from January 1: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Police Health Security Scheme will be launched in Madhya Pradesh on January 1. Extraordinary pension will be sanctioned to martyr police personnel. Amount of Police Welfare Fund will be increased from Rs. 65 lakh to Rs. one crore and 10 percent increase will be made in it every year. House rent allowance payable to police personnel will be revised. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan made these announcements at a meeting of state-level Police Advisory Committee here today.
The Chief Minister said that five thousand personnel will be added to police force this year. Adequate funds will be allocated for maintenance of police personnel’s houses. Kit allowance will be given to police personnel for uniform of their choice. He said that all should work unitedly to develop Madhya Pradesh as the best state in the world. Meaning of development is bringing about happiness in common people’s life. Works are being carried out in Madhya Pradesh in this direction. Law & order play an important role in it.
Shri Chouhan said that investment in Madhya Pradesh has increased as a result of better law & order. Now, we are talking about setting up industries in Chambal ravines. The recently held Global Investors Summit has generated a better atmosphere for industries in Madhya Pradesh. This will lead to capital investment and increase in employment.
The Chief Minister said that the State Government is proud of Madhya Pradesh Police’s achievement. Madhya Pradesh is a pioneer state in law & order. Level of people’s contentment is increasing here. Police personnel should use their energy in positive direction and win people’s trust. Every possible effort will be made to solve police personnel’s problems.
Home Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta said that schemes are chalked out in Madhya Pradesh in consultation with people. Panchayats held at Chief Minister’s residence have played important role in this process. Madhya Pradesh police has important place in the country. He said that further empowerment of Police Housing Corporation is under consideration. Police force is being increased rapidly.
Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram said that efforts are underway to improve arrangements. Whatever decision is taken will be implemented promptly. Work is being done in Madhya Pradesh with team spirit to convert challenges into opportunities. At the outset, DGP Shri Nandan Dube said that the State Government has taken a number of decisions for police welfare. Police force is being increased constantly. Additional DGP Shri Sarabjit Singh gave a presentation on the Police Department’s problems. IG Welfare Shri Pradeep Runwal proposed a vote of thanks.
