Madhya Pradesh reported its first death on Wednesday due to the deadly novel corornavirus (Covid-19), an official said.
The 65-year-old woman succumbed to the viral infection in Indore’s government-run MY Hospital where she was undergoing treatment, Divisional Commissioner Akash Tripathi said.
She was admitted to the Indore hospital after getting initial treatment at Ujjain, her hometown, the official said said.
The woman’s death takes the toll in India to 12.
