Sarpanchs’ training programme upto January 20

Bhopal: Training will be imparted to over 23 thousand Sarpanchs for extending benefit to maximum number of villages through Mahatma Gandhi NREGA upto January 20, 2014. The training will be imparted by CEOs of Janpad Panchayats, Additional Programme Officers (MNREGA) and assistant engineers.

Commissioner MNREGA Dr. Ravindra Pastor informed that new sub-schemes have been chalked out by the state government as per new directives and guidelines issued by Government of India regarding MNREGA for ensuring villages’ prosperity and benefiting villagers. He informed that sub-schemes have been chalked out through MNREGA convergence for construction of anganwadi buildings in villages, godowns of upto 100 MT capacity, Sudoor Gram Sampark Evam Khet-Sadak Yojana, rural sports complexes and “Mera Khet-Meri Mati”.

Sarpanchs are being trained to extend benefit eligible beneficiaries through new MNREGA sub-schemes and making villages prosperous. The training programme has got underway from Monday, which will continue till January 20. During training, Sarpanchs are being apprised of every point pertaining to new sub-schemes elaborately. They have also been provided separate copies of all directives.

Directives have already been issued to all MNREGA Project Officers, Monitoring and Evaluation Officers. Senior accounts officers, senior data managers, Assistant Directors Horticulture, auditors, media officers, executive engineers and assistant engineers to be present during training programme.
