Haldiram Chain Owner Convicted in Murder Case
In connection with murder of a tea stall owner in Kolkata in 2005, the owner of Haldiram confectionary chain Prabhu Shankar Agarwal and four others have been convicted by a court in Kolkata, said reports.
According to reports, Agarwal and four others, held guilty of shooting a youth in the Burrabazara Kolkata, would be sentenced on Friday by a fast track court.
Agarwal wanted to remove a tea stall blocking the entrance to his restaurant in Burrabazar, but the owner refused to budge, said reports.
He then allegedly hired criminals to kill the tea stall owner, but they shot and injured a nephew of the man on March 30, 2005, said reports.
