Indore administration cancels permission of Muslim Personal Law Board meet

‘Muslims have voted for Congress in Karnataka. The party formed the government there. Now Congress should ban Bajrang Dal there.’ After this statement by Maulana Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, the 28th convention program of the Muslim Personal Law Board to be held in Mhow has been cancelled. Madani made this statement on May 21 at Azad Maidan in Mumbai.

25 km away from Indore. 10 thousand Muslims along with 200 Ulema were to gather in this program which was held on June 3rd and 4th at Ambedkar Nagar Mahu (Military Head Quarters of War Area). The administration gave permission for the program on May 17.

But as soon as the administration came to know that the announcement of 80 Muslim leaders like Maulana Arshad Madani, President of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind, AIMIM Chief Asaduddin Owaisi, the largest religious organization of Muslims, made the administration worried.

According to sources, the administration had also received input that there was an apprehension of ruckus during the meeting. The statement to ban Bajrang Dal was believed to be behind this uproar. After this, the administration revoked the permission on Wednesday.

The 28th Convention of the Muslim Personal Law Board was scheduled to be held on June 3 and 4 at Jamia Islamia Banjari. The convention was to be held on the first day in Vishwas Nagar Madrasa and our meeting was to be held on the evening of 4th the next day. After the program there was a feast of 10 thousand Muslims.

The purpose of the organization was to discuss the issues of drug addiction, women’s rights and security, social reform, spread of punishment and other issues. Jamia Islamia Banjari President Mohammad Junaid applied to MHU SDM Rajendra Kumar Singh for this event. The administration gave permission for the organization on 17th May.

Until then everything was fine, but after the input and meetings in view of Maulana Arshad Madani’s statement, the administration asked the organizers to change the venue. The organizers refused. Full preparation is wrong. It is difficult to change place now.

Confirming this, Kishanganj TI Kuldeep Khatri said that the report on law and order related to the program was handed over to SDM Sir on Tuesday. In which it is stated that due to some controversial statements, law and order situation may arise in the area. After this, the administration had to cancel the permission.
