Chouhan inspects Mahakal Maharaj Mandir complex expansion scheme

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today made a site inspection of Mahakal Maharaj Mandir complex expansion scheme (which is being prepared in Bada Rudrasagar) during his visit in Ujjain. He saw various construction works while going about on foot and got information about them from Collector Ashish Singh.

During the inspection, Chouhan inspected the base pillars, wall paintings and mural walls being built under the development plan. He saw the lotus pond and got information by visiting the points of Sapta-Rishi Mandal, Shiv Anand Tandava Pillar, Shiva Pillar, Shiva idols, Tripurasur Vadh etc.

Chouhan, while interacting with the media present at the inspection site, said that the Mahakal Maharaj Temple complex expansion plan costs total of Rs. 730 crore, out of which construction works of Rs. 368 crore are going on. He said that all the construction works should be completed before Mahashivratri, instructions have been given to this effect. The Chief Minister said that the stories, traditions, beliefs etc. related to Indian culture and Mahakal would be marked in this entire complex in such a way that the pilgrims would get spiritual experience. He said that 108 pillars are being built on the path leading from Triveni Museum to Mahakaleshwar temple, in which each pillar will depict stories related to religious tradition and history.

MP & State President VD Sharma, Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav, MP Anil Firojia, MLA Paras Jain, Bahadur Singh Chouhan, Superintendent of Police Satyendra Kumar Shukla and public representatives were present during the inspection.

Earlier, Chouhan reached Lord Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain today and offered prayers. During the puja, he saw the worship being done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kedarnath temple virtually and listened to his speech.

On this occasion MP & State President VD Sharma Higher Education Minister Mohan Yadav, MP Anil Firojia, Vice President of Jan-Abhiyan Parishad, Vibhash Upadhyay, Vivek Joshi, Jagdish Agrawal and Bahadur Singh Mundla were present.
