Dewas to have medical and engineering colleges: CM

Bhopal: Engineering college and medical college will be opened under PPP mode at Dewas. New bus stand will also be constructed. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced this at “Aao Banayen Madhya Pradesh” convention at Dewas today. On the occasion, the Chief Minister inaugurated and laid foundation stones for Rs. 104 crore construction works.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that agriculture development schemes will be chalked out after discussions with farmers. Farmers will be sent to foreign countries for training in advance farming techniques. He informed that Rs. 600 has been provisioned for relief to farmers affected by natural calamities. Shri Chouhan said that Drivers’ Panchayat will be held in the series of Panchayats where welfare schemes will be chalked out by consulting them. He informed that now scholarship will be given to students of general category also. Laptops are being provided to students securing 85 percent or above marks in class XII. The students taking admission in colleges after passing class XII exam from government school will be given smart phones.

The Chief Minister said technical knowledge, bank finance, loan guarantee and cooperation in marketing will be provided to develop industries in the state. Trade Promotion Board has also been constituted to promote business in Madhya Pradesh. Shri Chouhan said that permanent caste certificates will be issued from class 1, which will be useful throughout life. Multi-purpose Narmada-Kshipra Link Project to save Malwa region from becoming desert will be inaugurated in February. Projects will also be chalked out to link Kali Sindh, Parvati and Gambhir rivers with Narmada.

The Chief Minister said that government staff with excellent performance will be rewarded and negligent ones punished. He said that officers should not misuse their powers. He urged people to adopt equal approach towards boys and girls. He said that 15 lakh houses will be constructed in new 5 years. The Chief Minister said that arrangements for food, clothes, house, education and health will be made for every citizen in the state. He also administered oath of Aao Banayen Apna Madhya Pradesh” on the occasion.

He urged to plant maximum number of saplings, conserve village’s water in village itself, send all children to school, keep villages clean and de-addicted and respect women and girls. He said that additional Rs. 5 lakh each for development will be given to Gram Panchayats elected unopposed. The Chief Minister also inspected an exhibition based on public welfare schemes.

Minister of State for Culture and Tourism and in-charge of Dewas district Shri Surendra Patwa and Minister of State for School Education Shri Deepak Joshi also spoke on the occasion. Zila Panchayat Chairman, MLAs and other public representatives were also present on the occasion.
