Indian skipper Virat Kohli continued his golden run in 2018 as he reached 20th half-century of his Test career in the second Test of the series against Australia in Perth. Kohli played a shot that was way away from his reach. The ball took an edge and ran towards the third man for a boundary. It was a classy shot from Kohli to reach the milestone.

The right-handed batsman did not have a great start to the Test series as he scored 3 and 34 in the opening game. He bounced back strongly in the second Test and is currently batting on 53*. Kohli came in to bat at number four after the dismissal of KL Rahul’s wicket. He took his time in the middle and reached the milestone in 109 balls. Here is the video of Kohli’s shot to reach fifty –

India did not have a good start to their innings as the visitors lost the wicket of Murali Vijay right before lunch. The experienced batsman was cleaned up by a peach of a delivery from Mitchell Starc in the 3rd over.

KL Rahul showed some patience but could just last for 17 deliveries before being bowled by Josh Hazlewood on a score of 2. Team India found itself in a tough situation after yet another failure from the top order.

Kohli, along with Cheteshwar Pujara, shared 74 runs for the third wicket to pull out India from a tough situation. Pujara was dismissed after Starc managed to draw an edge off his bat.

Kohli was unfazed with Pujara’s dismissal and continued to bat on. The way in which he brought his half-century was a classy one as Kohli could have left it but he went for the shot and churned out a boundary to reach the milestone.
