Winter session of Madhya Pradesh assembly begins tomorrow

From tomorrow only Madhya Pradesh Assembly’s winter session is going begin. It is expected to be stormy with the main opposition Congress gearing up to corner the ruling BJP over former RSS chief K S Sudarshan’s remarks against Sonia Gandhi.

A Congress MLA said, “Though we have not yet finalised our strategy, we are going to take to the task the ruling BJP over Sudarshan’s derogatory remarks against our leader Sonia Gandhi some time back in Bhopal.”

A total of nine sittings would take place during the 11-day long eighth session of the 13th Vidhan Sabha.

The leader of opposition has not yet been chosen by the Congress Legislature Party (CLP), the post which fell vacant after the death of Jamuna Devi in late September.

It appears that deputy leader of opposition in the assembly Rakesh Singh Chaturvedi would lead the opposition in the session. The CLP had asked the Congress high command to select its leader, but no decision has been taken yet.
