Tribals to get Rs. one lakh in villages and Rs. 2.50 lakh in cities to construct house

Bhopal : Addressing Shabri Mahakumbh at Anuppur today, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that tribals living in shanties by occupying land in rural and urban areas will be given housing pattas. Following issuance of housing pattas, tribals will be given Rs. one lakh in villages and Rs. 2.50 lakh in cities to construct house with toilet. He announced that Rs. 50 thousand incentive money will be given to tribal students securing high marks in science faculty. He said that Shabri Mata was devotion, meditation and patience personified. Chief Minister said that all tribal families in Madhya Pradesh have been covered under Food Security Act. For them, condition of BPL has been abolished to provide tribal families food grains at Re. one per kg. He said that the state government will bear fee of all tribal students from class one to college. Students are also being given facility for study in foreign countries.

 

Chief Minister said that Chhatra-grih Yojana has been implemented for SC, ST students. Under the scheme, students can rent a house in cities if they are unable to get a place in hostels. He said that forest right letters have been distributed to 2 lakh 14 thousand forest dwellers in the state. Today (February 24) a special campaign is being undertaken throughout the state to dispose of complaints in this regard. The Chief Minister said that for tribal youths, the state government is giving loan guarantee under Mukhyamantri Yuva Swarozgar and Yuva Udyami Yojana. Interest on loans for 7 years will be given by the government, which will also extend assistance in marketing and branding of their products. Chief Minister said that he would undertake surprise visits to villages under Jan-Kalyan Yatra and inspect implementation of schemes on the spot. He said that strict action would be taken against concerning persons if irregularities are detected.

  • A statue of Shabri Mata will be installed at Amarkantak. Shabri Mata Ashram will be built at Maihar.

  • PG classes will be started in Tulsi College, Anuppur.
  • High school will be upgraded to higher secondary school.
  • Rs. 4 crore will be sanctioned for infrastructure development works at Anuppur district headquarters, Rs. one crore for city’s development and Rs. 30 lakh for 2 community sanitation complexts.
  • Sanction of Rs. 64 crore for construction of houses for 1190 poor persons in Anuppur.
  • Skill Development Training Programme named after Shabri Mata to be introduced.
  • Rs. 5 lakh Tantya Bheel Award to be given to successful tribal young entrepreneurs.
  • Tribals’ reputed worship places will be renovated.
  • To make livestock breeding profitable, the government will give units of 5, 10 and 15 milch animals to tribal beneficiaries.

SC and ST Welfare Minister Gyan Singh, MP Dalpat Singh Paraste and MLA Ramlal Rautele also spoke on the occasion. Food and Civil Supplies Minister Kunwar Vijay Shah, Zila Panchayat Chairperson Roopmati Singh, MLAs Jai Singh Marawai and Pramila Singh, social worker Bhagwat Sharan Mathur, Ajay Pratap Singh and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
