Tahbazari and daily recovery will be closed in MP: No hand cart will be seized; It will be a crime to pick up goods for free: CM Chouhan

In Madhya Pradesh, street vendors and handcart drivers will no longer be charged for tehbazari in haat-bazaars. This announcement was made by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan in the panchayat of street vendors and handcart drivers at CM House in Bhopal.

He said – Your life is very difficult. Many problems have to be faced, I was finding out the problems of you people, what are the problems we face.

CM said- The street vendor brothers and sisters who are connected today from different places including Bhopal. One of his problems came out from among you, which I was told that he has to pay money everyday. Some places are given to contractors. Contractors charge money.  There are many types of problems that we have to go through. By arranging small capital, we sell different types of goods and reach them easily to the people.

In the panchayat of street vendors and handcart drivers, CM Shivraj also gave assistance to the beneficiaries. People from many districts reached the program.

CM said that there will be no daily recovery in any city anywhere in Madhya Pradesh. That collection will be stopped immediately. Remove this instruction. Taking money for walking on the road. This is not justice. In some places, municipal bodies give contracts to contractors. That contractor charges a Rs 100 .

The CM told Minister Bhupendra Singh that if changes have to be made, do so. This tehbazaari daily collection should be stopped completely.

CM said – We will register once. The street vendors, hand cart drivers who have to work. He will get the registration done in Municipal Corporation, Municipality, Nagar Panchayat that we are street vendors. There will be a nominal fee for that registration.

The CM said that in this panchayat of his, the brothers and sisters of handcarts and street vendors have come. I welcome everyone. You people are labor seekers, take vegetables, take fruits, take Manihari’s goods, take ice cream… came.

It’s our life too, isn’t it, the Municipal Corporation goes from anywhere to move away, I don’t say that I will change the way to the city, let’s decide the place. Will go to some colonies, people are getting things at home, so what is the objection in hand cart. If the handcart is carried by the Lord, then what is the problem in that. All such people will do their business.

A practical place should be fixed for street vendors where people can easily come to buy goods. The place should not be fixed so far away that people cannot reach it.

CM said- I have received a complaint that handcarts are confiscated. This is a sin, today I am giving this instruction with immediate effect, no handcart will seized. Those who do not have a hand cart, the Urban Development Department should give them a hand cart on subsidy. There should be a plan regarding this. I came to know that now hand carts have to be taken from the contractors. Make a new plan, so that you don’t have to deal with the contractors. A cart is made for Rs 10000. Make such a plan that we will give Rs 5000 rupees and you give Rs 5000. Will hand over subsidy. Ward wise registration should be done once whether everyone has identity cards or not.
The CM said that not only the municipal corporation, but the police also harass them.
