State’s people to get online services: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh will be pioneer state under Digital India programme. Under it, processes for delivery of various services will be simplified and made online. This will ensure quick and hassle-free delivery of services. He directed all major departments to complete this process by December 31.

The Chief Minister was reviewing progress of Digital India at its state level monitoring committee meeting at Mantralaya on Friday. Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava, Technical and Higher Education Minister Shri Umashankar Gupta, Chief Secretary Shri Anthony de Sa, Additional Chief Secretaries Shri S.R. Mohanthy, Shri B.P. Singh and Smt. Ajita Vajpayee Pandey and Principal Secretaries of various departments were present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister called for maximum use of information technology for good governance. He directed all departments to simplify process of delivering services and making available online forms, application forms etc. by December 31. He said that people should not come of offices to get facilities and services.

The Chief Minister directed to impart training in use of internet in interesting way. Internet and broadband facilities will be provided in every Gram Panchayat at the earliest. Use of information technology for education, agriculture and emergency services should be enhanced.

The Chief Minister asked the officers to ensure that maximum documents and information are available online. Besides, departmental data should be kept in public domain. This will facilitate common people. He directed for necessary steps to promote IT education.

It was informed that internet broadband facility will be made available in every Gram Panchayat in the state. Public kiosks will also be opened in all Gram Panchayats. Wi-fi facility will be provided in all colleges and universities. From current year, arrangements for computer education will be made in 2000 schools. During one year, 5 lakh women will be imparted training in use of internet. In all districts of the state, e-khasra, e-attendance of teachers and all police stations will be made online. Apart from e-court, e-prosecution, e-policing and e-jail, all revenue courts will also be automated. Online information will be available about movement of files in Mantralaya and the lever where they are pending. Process has been started in the state for issuance of digital caste certificates, e-basta, e-registry and other electronic services. Training in use of internet has been imparted to 1.50 lakh women in the state

Secretary IT Shri Hari Ranjan Rao informed about state’s action plan regarding Digital India. The Chief Minister released 2 books containing collection of Hindi circulars published by Science and Technology Department focusing on e-governance norms & IT and e-governance.
