State’s lost pilgrims’ list sent to Uttarakhand government

Bhopal: Chief Secretary Shri R. Parasuram reviewed entire action ensured by Madhya Pradesh government about post-Uttarakhand natural calamity here today. The Chief Secretary apprised himself with Revenue Department action in detail.
Principal Secretary Revenue Shri R.K. Chaturvedi informed that as per information collected by State Disaster Management Institute, state’s 542 citizens have not returned from Uttarakhand. They have been placed under the category of missing/dead. Their entire data has been collected from districts. It will be displayed on website also. All necessary information has also been sent to Uttarakhand Government. Apart from Madhya Pradesh government assistance, families of deceased in Uttarakhand calamity will also provided Rs. 3 lakh 50 thousand assistance each by the Union Government. Of this, Rs. 1 lakh 50 thousand will be provided from Central Disaster Relief Fund and Rs. 2 lakh from Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Besides, families of those missing or dead in Uttarakhand calamity are also being given Rs. 2 lakh each by Uttarakhand government. A list of 542 missing/dead persons from state’s 35 districts has been prepared. It is noteworthy that basis of details of information about number of dead and affected persons was FIR registered in police stations. These details were sent to districts and information about missing persons was collected by examination conducted by concerning collectors and other sources.
