State Sports Authority to Be Established Soon in MP: Pawar

State sports minister Tukojirao Pawar has said that Madhya Pradesh Sports and Youth Welfare Department will soon establish a State Sports Authority, reported PTI.

Pawar gave the assurance on the directions of speaker Ishwardas Rohani when Congress party’s Ajay Singh took up the matter during the Question Hour in the State Assembly, said report.

Singh had asked when the proposal to set up the State Sports Authority was sent to the state government after its formulation, said report.

When Pawar said that he would inform the member after enquiring the department, an angered Singh alleged that the proposal was pending with chief minister’s Secretariat for a year and wanted to know the exact date, said report.

Later the speaker directed the minister to form the Authority soon.
