State facing financial crunch: Raman Singh

Former chief minister Raman Singh on Friday campaigned in Bastar region for the BJP candidate in Chitrakot by-poll.

While talking to media persons at a press conference here in the district headquarters, Raman hit out at ruling Congress and charged that the state is facing a financial crunch.

Not only all the important development works initiated by the BJP government had been stalled, the state has not even fund to pay salary of the government employees, he said. Mocking at the curtailment of power tariff, he said the power cut tells the inside story behind it.

Talking about recently concluded by-polls in Dantewada and the present Chitrakot by-poll, he alleged that Congress was misusing the administration to win the polls anyhow.

He also criticised the Congress for not fulfilling poll promise of implementing total prohibition and alleged that liquor was being sold in government outlets at higher price.
