Spurious Pesticide Unit Busted at Mandideep

Bhopal  —  A joint raid by agriculture department officials and the police on Monday led to the discovery of a factory manufacturing spurious pesticides in the industrial township of Mandideep, on the outskirts of the state capital.

“More than 500 sacks of pesticide ready for being transported to Bareilly town were seized,” Mandideep sub-divisional officer of police DPS Rajput was later quoted as saying.

While twenty workers employed at the unit have been taken into custody, a manhunt is underway to nab the absconding owner of the factory, identified as Ashok.
