Six Persons Arrested for Preparing Fake Bonds to Secure Bails

Six persons were taken into custody in Ratlam district for preparing fake bail bonds to help inmates get out of jail, said media reports.

Ratlam police official SS Chauhan said that a total of 22 land ownership books which were forged and utilized for securing bail were recovered from the culprits, reports said.

The six persons arrested were identified as Babu Singh, Veer Singh, Shyam Singh, Ramesh Bhil, Manish Purohit and Nathu Singh, said reports.

Police said that the gang which dealt in getting jail inmates bailed out on the ground of fake bonds was operative in the court premises, reports said.

A police officer said that for a price, the gang used to generate fake guarantees and file fake bonds for criminals to secure bail, said reports.

The officer said the gang helped secure bail for several people who then never turned up on the dates fixed for hearing, reports said.
