Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar Passes away

New Delhi: Legendary Sitar maestro Pandit Ravi Shankar passed away in San Diego on Tuesday. He was 92.
Legendary sitarist was nominated for 55th Grammy Awards in Best World Music Album category. He was nominated for his album ‘The Living Room Sessions Part-1’.
Shankar, a three-time Grammy award winner, had recorded the album last year, with his long-time tabla companion Tanmoy Bose at his home in California.
Ravi Shankar was conferred with highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in 1999.
