Siddharth Malaiya returns to BJP: said on the claim on the assembly ticket – will fulfill the responsibility given

Siddharth Malaiya, son of senior BJP leader and former minister Jayant Malaiya, returned to the BJP on Thursday. He joined the BJP in the presence of CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan, State President VD Sharma and Home Minister Narottam Mishra at the BJP state office in Bhopal. During a conversation with the media, he said that thanks to the party for accepting. We are where we were.

Siddharth Malaiya was expelled from the party in June 2022. This expulsion was also done for six years. Actually, in the 2021 by-election in Damoh, Rahul Singh, who contested from BJP, had to face defeat. A war of words started over the defeat. Rahul held the Jayant Malaiya family responsible for the defeat. A complaint was lodged against Siddharth Malaiya and his supporters in the organization as well. The BJP expelled five mandal presidents, including Siddhartha, for six years. On July 2022, Siddhartha resigned from the primary membership of the party. Along with this, it was announced to field an independent candidate in every ward in Damoh urban body elections.

This step has been taken to strengthen the party in Damoh coming in Bundelkhand. The Malaiya family is considered to be in Damoh. In the 2021 by-election, Rahul Lodhi lost from Damoh Assembly by 17 thousand 63 votes. Whereas, Rahul Lodhi came to BJP from Congress. Congress candidate Ajay Tandon defeated Lodhi. Siddharth Malaiya has been brought back to strengthen the party in Damoh assembly seat, which was once considered a stronghold of the BJP.

Said on the question of contesting elections, will do whatever work is available

Siddharth was seen avoiding the questions of the media in the BJP state office. He only expressed gratitude for returning to BJP. On the question of contesting elections in the upcoming assembly elections, said that the party is contesting on all 230 assembly seats. Whatever responsibility is given, we will fulfill it. The party is doing the work of public service.
