Second “Jal Mahotsav” At Hanuvantiya Begins from Today
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan will inaugurate second “Jal Mahotsav” at 2.00 p.m. on December 15 at Hanuvantiya. He will also dedicate the facilities developed by the State Tourism Development Corporation for the convenience of tourists at Hanuvantiya tourists’ complex. This year the Jal Mahotsav beginning from December 15 will be organised till January 15.
State BJP President and Member of Parliament Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan will preside over the programme. Minister for Energy Shri Paras Jain, Minister of State for Tourism and Culture (Independent Charge) Shri Surendra Patwa, Chairman State Tourism Development Corporation Shri Tapan Bhoumik, Local MLA Shri Lokendra Singh Tomar will present as special guests in the inaugural programme.
Filled with gaiety, exhilaration and fervour, the main attraction of the second Jal-Mahotsav will be the house boat being started at Hanuvantiya on the lines of Kerala. It may be mentioned that several facilities have been developed at the water sports complex Hanuvantiya for recreation of tourists. A sum of around Rs. 5 crore has been spent on various development works including Food Zone (Kitchen, Restaurant), separate toilet facility for the tourists and drinking water and water cooler facilities. Moreover, sports ground for kids and swings are installed. A 200 meter retaining wall has been constructed around the cottage for security. Also swipe card arrangements have been made for the convenience of tourists and also board room was constructed.
Around 125 Swiss tents have been installed for the tourists in the second Jal-Mahotsav. Moreover, food zone, craft bazar and exhibition focusing Madhya Pradesh Tourism are being organised. All the security arrangements are being made at Boat Club. Moreover, information center has been established in Hanuvantia complex .
It may be mentioned that the tourists will enjoy the trip amid natural beauty and plenteous water during the vacation. Besides spending vacations with their families during Jal-Mahotsav, tourists can adore and welcome the dawn of New Year-2017. In fact Hanuwantia is a tension and hustle free serene place where pure clean air and surging water waves encourage for adventurous sports. Beside water sports, adventurous sports will also be organized during the Jal-Mahotsav.
Moreover, house boat facility at Hanuwantia like shikara of Kashmir and Kerala will be an important and attractive experience. Cruise, motorboat and jalpari facilities are already being provided at Hanuwantia. Various activities focusing adventurous tourism will be organized like water sports, island camping, adventure activities-hot air ballooning, para sailing, para motors, star gazing, water skiing, jet skiing, Burma bridge, artificial climbing wall, bird watching, trekking, treasure hunt, night camping etc. Beside all this, craft bazaar and cultural programme will be organised during the Mahotsav. Moreover, mouth watering food can be enjoyed during the Jal-Mahotsav.
