Rs. 850 Crore Sanctioned for MGNREGA and Prime Minister Rural Road Scheme
Bhopal. Minister for Panchayat, Rural Development, Social Justice and Disabled Welfare Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava met Central Minister for Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Potable Water and Sanitation Shri Narendra Singh Tomar and Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Shri Thawarchand Gahlot at New Delhi. Shri Bhargava discussed about the sanction of the pending departmental schemes with the ministers.
Shri Tomar informed that sanction has been given for Rs. 350 crore and installment of Rs.500 crore for MGNREGA and Prime Minister Rural road scheme respectively. He further informed that 1700 K.M. long new road has been sanctioned also under Prime Minister Rural Road scheme. Shri Tomar gave assurance for sanction of 50 thousand houses under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojna for damage caused by heavy rains in rural areas.
Moreover, Shri Gahlot assured sanction as regard to the pending proposals for making public places suitable for disabled and hostels for the schedule tribes and OBC students shortly.
