Rs. 50 crore to Jhabua for horticulture crops

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Rs. 50 crore will be spent to promote horticulture in Jhabua district. He said that this amount will be spent on construction of pack houses which conducive for fruits production. The Chief Minister was addressing a farmers convention-cum-Anyodaya Mela at Ranapur in Jhabua district today. At Antyoda Mela benefit letters worh Rs. 8 crore 59 lakh were distributed to 2387 beneficiaries. The Chief Minister laid foundation stones of 7 construction works costing Rs, 64 crore. The Chief Minister inaugurated Ranapur college and planted a sapling. Labour Minister Shri Antar Singh Arya, MLAs Sushri Nirmala Bhuria and Sarvshri Kal Singh Bhabhar, Nagar Singh Chouhan and Val Singh Bhuria were also present.

The Chief Minister said that forest rights are being given to tribals who are occupying forest land. Condition of below poverty line has been abolished in the case of providing wheat, rice and salt are at the rate of Re. 1 per kg to tribals. He congratulated representatives of Bhagor Gram Panchyat to rid the village from evil of open-area defecation. He remembers liquor prohibition campaign of former MP late Shri Dilip Singh Bhuria saying that neither a new liquor shop or factory nor any liquor shop will be sanctioned in the state. Shri Chouhan sanctioned Rs. 1 crore for development and beautification of Ranapur, Rs. 13 crore 97 lakh for installation X-ray machine and upgradation of Ranpur community health centre to 20-bed hospital. He sanctioned Rs, 18 crore for geography faculty in Jhabua college and construction of 2-lane Jhabua-Kalyanpur road, Rs. 3.35 crore for construction of CC Roads in Majra-Tolas, Rs. 2 crore for Ranapur Mandi, Rs. one crore 65 lakh for building of Ranapur higher secondary school and announced to upgrade 2 hostels to 100-seaters. He said that no stone will be left unturned to bring Narmada water through pipelines to Jhabua district.
