Products of self help groups to get international market

Bhopal: Planned efforts are underway to provide market to products of self-help groups of Madhya Pradesh. A summit conference of Summit of State Livelihood Forum and Indo-China Economic & Cultural Council will be held at Bhopal Haat from December 20 to 23 to give a concrete shape to effort for increasing income of SHGs and production groups. In the series, “Haat of India” is going to be held at Bhopal on September 21. It will be held at Hotel Courtyard Marriott at 7 pm. The programme is being held by Madhya Pradesh State Livelihood Forum with cooperation of Indo-China Economic & Cultural Council. Commerce, Industries and IT Minister Shri Kailash Vijayvargiya will be the chief guest while Panchayats & Rural Development Minister Shri Gopal Bhargava will preside over the function.
General Secretary of Indo-China Economic & Cultural Council Shri Mohammad Saqib, Economic and Commerce Advisor to Chinese embassy in India Shri Wang Hu Jan will also participate. Senior officers of Central and State Government will also be present.
It is noteworthy that economic development of the state can be given a new direction through effective use of natural and human resources of Madhya Pradesh. For this, initiative will be taken to ensure quality production by providing latest methods and technical knowledge to self-help groups. Neighbouring country China has carved out is unique identity in world market during recent days.
Successful efforts have been made in the state to ensure economic upliftment for forming women’s self-help groups of BPL families through District Poverty Initiative Project. Arrangements have also been made to impart job-oriented training and employment to rural youths. After district-level, job fairs are also being held at block level for providing better job opportunities.
