Pradhan Mantris Ujjwala Yojana launched in Sehore district

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched Pradhan Mantri’s Ujjwala Yojana in Sehore district today. He said that one lakh 5 thousand eligible will be provided free gas connections under the scheme in the district. The scheme will play significant role in women’s health improvement and forest conservation. He said that these connections are totally free. Strict action will be taken against those who commit irregularities in the scheme. In such cases, people should directly complain to the Chief Minister. He also distributed LPG connections as a token.

The Chief Minister said that now economic backwardness does not impede higher education. He said that he would launch a scheme on August 15 under which the state government will bear expenses on education of eligible children of all sections of society in technical and vocational educational institutions. He said that soon, every village and house in Budhni Vidhan Sabha constituency will be supplied piped water. Shri Chouhan said that distribution of housing pattas to eligible persons is going on. By year 2022, no one will be houseless. He informed that farmers will soon be given crop insurance amount of about Rs. 4300 crore. On students’ demand, Shri Chouhan announced to upgrade Ladkui College from 120 to 200 seater. He announced construction of Neelkanth Mandi, Aaolighat and ghat at Chheepaner. He informed that an action plan of Rs. 1500 crore has been chalked out for Narmada preservation. The Chief Minister administered oath of sanitation, education, saving daughters and plant minimum one sapling for environmental conservation to those present on the occasion.

The Chief Minister also felicitated sarpanchs of 22 Panchayats which have been declared ODF recently. At the progarmme, housing pattas were distributed to 1025 beneficiaries and gas connections to 2000 beneficiaries. Forest Development Corporation’s Chairman Shri Guru Prasad Sharma also spoke on the occasion.

PWD Minister and in-charge of district Shri Rampal Singh, MARKFED’s Chairman Shri Ramakant Tiwari, Warehousing Corporation’s Chairman Shri Rajendra Singh Rajput, Minor Forest Produce Federation’s Chairman Shri Ram Narayan Sahu, Zila Panchayat President Smt. Urmila Maretha and other public representatives were present on the occasion.
