Power generation up in MP this year
BHOPAL: The hydel plants of Madhya Pradesh Power Generating Company produced 9,617 lakh units electricity till July 31. This is an increase of 31% as compared to last year.
The power plants generated 7,318 lakh units during the monsoon last year. Due to ample rain this season, water level in hydel plant reservoirs is higher than last year. These reservoirs are expected to remain full, a release said.
