Poor Families do not take Loan Now for Marriage of their Daughters: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojna is proved successful to eliminate social evils and to solemnise marriages of daughters of poor families. Shri Chouhan was addressing the Group Marriage Function and dedication programme of developemnt works at Sendhwa of Badwani district today. He gave blessings to 1151 newly wedded couples and dedicated development works costing Rs. 29 crore 13 lakh on the occasion.

CM Shri Chouhan said that Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah yojna has been appreciated in the entire country and it has been adopted by other states. This proved the worthiness and significance of the scheme. He mentioned that poor families do not take loan now for marriages of their daughters.

Shri Chouhan gave blessings to 25 newly wedded Muslim Couples and to other 1126 newly wedded couples whose marriages are performed under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah and Nikah Yojna. Moreover, Shri Chouhan presented a mango sapling to each groom and a sapling of Guava to each bride. He also dedicated 13 development works costing Rs. 29 lakh during the programme.

Shri Chouhan dedicated Civil Hospital building worth Rs. 5 crore, Government Polytechnic College building costing Rs. 7 crore 87 lakh, administrative building of Sendhwa Municipality costing Rs. 2 crore, 30 bed Varla Hospital building built at a cost of Rs. 2 crore 8 lakh and Sub Health Centres of Umarti, Pajriya, Vinayiki, Kalikundi, Dhamariya and Dhawda built at cost of Rs. 20 lakh each. Moreover Shri Chouhan dedicated Pisnaval Barrage worth Rs. 4 crore 7 lakh Naktirani Barrage costing Rs. 3 crore 91 lakh and Thigli Barrage built at a cost of Rs. 3 crore 81 lakh. This Barrage will facilitate irrigation on 790 hectare land of this area. Furthermore Shri Chouhan performed bhoomi poojan of 132/33 k.v.a elctricity sub-center to be built at Shahpura.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan made several announcements on demand of Minister for Animal Husbandry Shri Antarsingh Arya. These announcements include starting college in Balwadi from next academic session, to release Rs. 5 crore for Sendhwa Municipality separately, construction of rest house in Sendhwa town, provision of irrigation facility through lift irrigation from Narmada river wherever possible in the district, construction of boundary wall of Dushhera ground Sendhwa, construction of barrages on rivers of Sonkhedi, Dugani, Rojanimaal and Mehatgaon, upgradation of Sendhwa Middle School no. 3 to High School, construction of culverts at Jhopal, Goi-Nihali road, Sendhwa-Varla road, Kolki to Solwan road, culvert on Goi river in Ghudchaal, on Sirvale Kharak river, on Dugani river and on Dhavli Tanda river, starting of girls high schools in Dhanora and Balwadi, upgradation of Malvan High school to Higher secondary school and constructionof 33/11 k.v. electricity subcenters in Dhavli and Gwadi.

MP and State President B.J.P. Shri Nandkumar Singh Chouhan, Minister for Animal Husbandry Shri Antarsingh Arya, Chairman M.P. Housing and Infrastructure Development Board Shri Krishna Murari Moghe, MP Shri Subhash Patel and MLA Shri Diwan singh were present in the programme.
