Online Booking of Plots in Indore, Ratlam Namkeen Cluster begins

Bhopal. The Department of Commerce and Industries are developing a new industrial area Namkeen Cluster in Karmadi of Ratlam district of the state. Similarly a Namkeen Cluster is being developed in Sukhliya, Indore also. The department is providing basic facilities to develop new industrial area in both the areas. The ‘Namkeen’ of Ratlam and Indore from the state is famous all over the country and is now being exported to foreign countries as well. The Namkeen Cluster is being developed at Ratlam and Indore with the aim of providing basic facilities to the Namkeen manufacturing units. This would not only increase Namkeen production but would also increase employment opportunities.

The Namkeen Cluster and Allied Food Industries are being developed in the new industrial area Karmadi village in Ratlam district. Nearly Rs 22 crore 75 lakhs have been approved under the Centre’s MSE-CDP Yojana for this area. The work of developing the cluster is being carried out on 18.15 hectare land. This industrial area is three kilometers away from Ratlam city on the Ratlam-Jhabua national highway. In the first phase of area development, development works like 3 km cement-concrete road, streetlights, water supply scheme, water-drainage line etc. are being undertaken. The work of the first phase on which nearly Rs 15 crore 50 lakhs has already been spent is near completion. At Namkeen Cluster Karmadi, 124 plots of 87 thousand 629 square meters are available. The online booking of the plots has begun.

The new industrial area Namkeen Cluster is being developed on 5.12 hectare land at Sukhliya, Indore for which nearly Rs 11.50 crores are being spent. Development works are being undertaken in several phases for the area’s development. The infrastructure development work is near completion which includes 1.3 kilometre cement-concrete road construction, 2 kilometre R.C.C. Storm Water Drain, Compound Wall, Retaining Wall, Industry Bhavan, Narmada Water based water supply scheme and electricity related work. Total 2.06 hectare land is available in this cluster for allotment. Thirty-three plots of different sizes have been planned in this area and online booking of the plots has begun.
