No IPL Fixtures in State before April 30: Chouhan

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Monday said that the state government will not be in a position to make adequate security arrangements for Indian Premier League (IPL) matches in the state before the second leg of Lok Sabha elections in the state concludes on April 30.

Speaking to the correspondents at the Vidhan Sabha on the opening day of the second session of the Assembly, Chouhan categorically said that the government would not be able to provide security for the Twenty20 fixtures at Indore or Gwalior before the conclusion of the two phased parliamentary polls in the state.

Chouhan said he would write to the Central government to express the inability of the state establishment to provide adequate security to the tournament, as the state goes to polls on April 23 and 30.
