No Eligible Beneficiary Should be Deprived of Benefits in Villages: CM

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that “Gramoday Se Bharat Uday” campaign is a Mahayagya for the development of villages and welfare of the people. Public Representatives and Officers must work hard to make it successful. No eligible beneficiary should be deprived from the benefits of the schemes.

CM Shri Chouhan was addressing the officers of the state and public representatives through video conferencing at Mantralaya today. Minister for Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Gopal Bhargava, Minister of State for Cooperatives (Independent Charge) Shri Vishwas Sarang, Chief Secretary Shri B.P. Singh and other Senior Officers were present on the occasion.

Shri Chouhan stated that this multi-objective campaign will start from April 14, the birth anniversary of Baba Saheb Dr. Ambedkar and will continue till May 31. He called upon the public representatives and officers to get engaged with full interest for the betterment of villages and villagers like they have played an active role in this campaign last year. This is a golden opportunity for the welfare of poor. Intensive efforts for poor’s upliftment and to increase their earnings upto 10 thousand minimum should be made. They should be provided benefits of various state government schemes as per the eligibility. Remaining numbers of beneficiaries should be reduced to nil in each panchayat.

Water Conservation Works Should be Started Immediately

CM Shri Chouhan said that two years action plan for village infrastructure development works should be made keeping in view the available resources during the campaign. At least one water body should be restored and one new should be constructed in each village. Water conservation works should be carried out immediately without any delay.Terming the Jalabhishek as an important component of the campaign, he urged to undertake works related to restoration of ponds and revival of rivers. He issued directives to prepare long term schemes towards permanent solutions for potable water problems and to make proper arrangements of potable water during the summer. He mentioned that potable water transport arrangement should be made wherever it is necessary. There is no lack of funds for this. Encroachment should be removed from schools’ land, sports grounds etc. Muktidhams should be constructed properly on the banks of river Narmada and other places.

Make Appeal to Ineligible People of B.P.L. Category to Quit with Free Will

CM Shri Chouhan said that suggestions on basic reasons for malnutrition and its solutions should be given during the campaign. Also attention should be paid for availability of nutritious food. He mentioned that appeal should be made to the ineligible people of B.P.L. category to quit with free will. Benefit of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah yojana must be ensured to the eligible beneficiaries. Not a single widow should be deprived of women pension scheme. Also benefit should be provided to the eligible beneficiaries of Ujjawala yojana.

Moreover Shri Chouhan said that women self–help groups are good medium for removal of poverty. Help should be provided to Women SHGs for availability of revolving funds and for obtaining loans from the banks. Shri Chouhan laid emphasis on increase of villagers’ presence in gram sansad. He mentioned that he will himself participate in one place to address people and to distribute benefits.

CM will Visit Villages as Advance Farmer

CM Shri Chouhan told the officers to work vigorously to make the farmers’ income double. He said that Krishi Kranti Rath being sent to the villages during Krishi Mahotsav should be made attractively and videography should be conducted. He himself as an advance farmer will visit villages in a rath and will apprise farmers about the modern agriculture techniques.

Moreover, Shri Chouhan said that Narmada Seva Yatra going on in the state will be culminated at Amarkantak on May 11. Representation of every gram panchayat is must in the programme. Similarly, lakhs of people will undertake plantation on both the banks of Narmada River on July 2 and participation of every section must be ensured in this.

Best Workers will be Awarded

CM Shri Chouhan mentioned that the entire government will lay focus on this campaign. Clear instructions were issued that information about campaign should be sent to the state level control room on daily basis. He, departmental Ministers and Chief Secretary will monitor it daily. Best officers-employees will be awarded during the campaign. Sagar, Chhindwara, Hoshangabad, Shivpuri and Rajgarh districts are included for conducting best works last year. Collectors and CEOs of these places will be awarded. Similarly, Chief Medical and Health Officers of Raisen, Shahdol and Badwani will be awarded. CM Shri Chouhan also directed the officials to give awards to the employees also.

Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat and Rural Development Shri Radheshyam Julaniya gave a full presentation on action plan. Presentation was given by Principal Secretary Public Health and Family Welfare Smt. Gouri Singh on women health camps and Principal Secretary Agriculture Development and Farmers Welfare gave presentation on action plan of Krishi Mahotsav.
