New website of Transport Department will be disabled-friendly: Transport Minister Rajput

Bhopal: Transport and Revenue Minister Govind Singh Rajput has said that the new website of the Transport Department will be user-friendly. Persons with vision-impairment and disability will also be able to use it. He told that the website will be in two languages. Information will be available in the website in both Hindi and English languages. Rajput gave this information during the review of the process of creating the website at the meeting of departmental officers.
Minister Rajput told that the information regarding the activities, schemes and facilities of the Transport Department will be available on the website. The transport department has initiated to make the website more useful for the public. He said that the website will have the screen reader facility which will facilitate moving the cursor and reading on the website. The website will be based on content management system which will have the facility of updating informations promptly. This will reduce dependency on the vendor.
Transport Minister Rajput told that the new website of the Transport Department will be beneficial for the disabled. Even colour-blind people can use the site easily as there is an option for changing the background colour. The font size can be increased or decreased in the website. He told that the new website will be hosted fully on government domain mp.gov.in.
