Nepal Probing Counterfeit Case, Links

Bhopal:  With the Madhya Pradesh Anti-Terror Squad blowing the covers off an international fake currency racket being operated from Nepal, Katmandu on Saturday said it is investigating links of its citizens with the duo arrested from the city railway station here with a sizeable cache of fake Indian currency.

Nepalese Home Ministry spokesman Ratnaraj Pandey said that taking cognizance of media reported links of those arrested with former Crown Prince Paras, the government has initiated investigations into the matter.

Pandey, however, clarified that no links have been established between Nepalese citizens and those arrested in India. He said that Nepal has also not received any request from the Indian embassy on the issue.
