Mock Air India Drill Takes Place at Indore Airport
People in state’s industrial capital had anxious moments as a news that an Air India plane, hijacked from Delhi, had landed at the Devi Ahilyabai airport.
Later, however, it came to the light that news was a part of an annual mock drill to check the efficiency of the airport personnel.
Vivek Upadhayay, Airport Director, said that the airport officials were informed about the hijack at about 11 in the morning, after which the CRPF personnel deployed at the airport swung into action instantly.
He said that the situation was soon brought under control and that the officials from police and administration were present during the drill.
