Madhya Pradesh govt. committed to enhance women’s dignity

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Swami Vivekananda’s deeds and ideals have become more relevant in the present-day worldly atmosphere. Swami Ji had said that “I am servant of that Lord whom ignorant people call Human Being. A human being’s personality develops as per his way of thinking. Human beings need to develop their talents and abilities to highest level of self-realisation”. The Chief Minister was unveiling a statue of Swami Vivekananda at Government Mohanlal Hargovind Das Autonomous Home Science & Science Women’s College at Jabalpur today. The Chief Minister released annual magazine of the college and distributed gold medals to students.
Shri Chouhan appealed to girl students to read Swami Vivekananda’s literature, which fills the life with enthusiasm. Through Ladli Laxmi Yojna, the State Government has made efforts to turn birth of girl child as an occasion of joy and happiness in families. So far, over 13 lakh girls have become Ladli Laxmis in the state.
The Chief Minister said that efforts will be made that culprits of crimes against women are punished within 45 to 60 days. He said that such people should also be discouraged by society. He informed about the State Government’s decision to deprive such people of driving and arm licences and character certificates. If any government servant is found involved in eve teasing, he will be terminated from service. The Chief Minister said that martial art training will be imparted in all colleges and higher secondary schools for self-defence.
The Chief Minister also released college’s annual magazine Abhivyakti’s Youth Power Special issue. He announced that additional rooms will also be constructed in colleges for women’s common room and as per other requirements. The Chief Minister announced to start two new courses of MSc Biotech and Hotel Management after examination of proposal from the next academic session. He said that as per requirement, a hostel of the college will also be constructed.
The Chief Minister also gave away gold medals to 13 girl students for outstanding performance in NCC parade and academic activities at the function where Vidhan Speaker Shri Ishwardas Rohani, Home Minister and in-charge of district Shri Umashankar Gupta, Animal Husbandary & Renewable Energy Minister Shri Ajay Vishnoi, MP Shri Rakesh Singh, MLAs Shri Sharad Jain, Smt. Pratibha Singh and other public representatives were also present.
At the Home Science College, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan also administered polio drops to two children and wished for their healthy and bright life.
Guru Govind Singh’s life inspires: CM Shri Chouhan
The Chief Minister said that Guru Govind Singh made extreme sacrifices for safeguarding the country and society as well as Indian culture. He founded Khalsa Panth and struggled throughout life against injustice and atrocities. Guru Ji’s life always inspires us. The one who follows his footsteps will be regarded as the true follower of the Guru. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan was addressing Prakash Parv at Jabalpur at Khalsa Higher Secondary School.
The Chief Minister said that optional holiday will be decalred on Guruji’s Prakash Parv. The Chief Minister informed that the State Government will bear half of expenses on pilgrimage journey to Nankana Sahib.
Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Shri Charanjeet Singh Atwal lauded efforts towards public welfare being made by Chief Minister Shri Chouhan. The Sikh community honoured the Chief Minister with a turban.
Pattas and Ladli Laxmi Yojna savings certificates distributed
The Chief Minister gave away pattas of residential land as a token to 11 families towards rehabilitation of people affected by Bansagar project. Pattas are being distributed to about 315 families. The Chief Minister also distributed Ladli Laxmi Yojna savings certificates to 20 girls.
