Lord Shri Ganesh bid farewell with devotion
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan immersed Lord Shri Ganesh’s idol with devotion and traditional fervour at Prempura Ghat here today. The Chief Minister, his wife Smt. Sadhana Singh, relatives, Revenue Minister Shri Rampal Singh, Mayor Shri Alok Sharma, Chairman of Municipal Corporation Shri Surjeet Singh Chouhan and large number of devotees participated in the immersion procession.
Emanating from CM House, the procession passed through Roshanpura, Rang Mahal crossing, TT Nagar, Mata Mandir, Gitanjali Complex, Aradhana Nagar, Kamla Nagar and Nehru Nagar upto Prempura Ghat. Devotees showered flower petals to display their devotion throughout the path of procession and raised slogan of Ganpati Bappa. The Chief Minister kept reciting Shri Ganpati bhajan throughout the route.
Amidst slogans of “Ganpati Bappa Mauriya”, Shri Chouhan immersed Shri Ganesh’s idol after performing traditional worship and Aarti. He immersed the idol in holy Kund specially developed by municipal corporation for immersion. Prasad was also distributed to devotees.,
The Chief Minister said that Shri Ganesh is Siddhi Vinayak and deity of wisdom. He prayed Him to bless Madhya Pradesh, country and all citizens.
