Lokmanya Tilak Cultural Trust’s work inspirational

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said the seed sown by people associated with Lokmanya Tilak Cultural Trust has assumed shape of a fruit bearing tree now. It is not easy to run activities pertaining to education with dedication and devotion. Pass outs of this institution have brightened its name in the country and abroad with excellent work. The institution should now be given shape of a university. Imparting good teaching is a major challenge before us these days. Swami Vivekananda used to say that education can make a human being a real human being. Lokmanya Tilak Cultural Trust had inspiration work towards this. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan stated this at golden jubilee function of the Trust at Ujjain today.

The Chief Minister gave away Rs. 11 thousand “Narang Memorial Award” to recent Vikram awardee for Malkhamb Shri Chandrashekhar Chouhan and Rs. 5 thousand cash prize on behalf of the trust.

Principal Shri Ashok Kandel said that the institution started in year 1963 with only 26 students and 2 rooms. Today, the institution has expanded and over 5 thousand students are studying in it. Chairman of the institution Shri Omprakash Agrawal said that this get-together of alumni is unique. As many as 11 units of the institution are working with cooperation of all. A CBSE school has also been opened on insistence of parents.

Release of souvenir

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan released a souvenir on institution’s 51st golden jubilee function. The souvenir contains memoirs of alumni and teaching activities of the institution. It has been edited by an alumnus Shri Nirukt Bhargava.

School Education Minister Shri Paras Jain, State Planning Commission’s Vice-Chairman Shri Babulal Jain, MP Dr. Chintamani Malviya, Vice-President of Jan-Abhiyan Parishad Shri Pradeep Pandey, Mayor Shri Rameshwar Akhand, MLA Dr. Mohan Yadav, Shri Satish Malviya, Shri Anil Firojia Trust’s CEO Shri Ashok Sohni, Secretary Shri Shripad Joshi and convener of alumni meet Dr. Katyayan Mishra were present on the occasion.
