As many as 84 Livelihoods Promoters have assumed the role of Sarpanchas, Panchas and Members of Janapad Panchayats in remote tribal areas in the state.

Armed with learnings and knowledge on sustainable livelihoods, they are now strengthening governance systems under Panchayat Raj Act.

It is notable to mention here that Madhya Pradesh Rural Livelihoods Project has trained development facilitators at grassroots level called Aajeevika Mitra or Livelihood Promoters in nearly 3000 remote villages of Dhar, Jhabua, Barwani, Aalirajpur, Sheopur, Mandla, Dindori, Anuppur and Shahdol districts.
