Ramesh in City Today

Union Environment and Forest Minister Jairam Ramesh today visited Bhopal and attended a meeting with Chief Minister Shivraj Singh in the morning, said an official release.

Later, the Union Forest Minister held talks on Green India Mission at Indian Institute of Forest Management.

Those present on the occasion include Union Government’s Director General of Forests and Special Secretary Dr PJ Dilip Kumar, representatives of non-government organisations, research scholars and office-bearers of various organisations, panchayats.

It may be mentioned that regional consultations are being organised under Green India Mission.

In the series, Union Director General of Forests Dr Dilip Kumar will hold talks with senior officers of Forest, Rural Development, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Tribal Welfare and Renewable Energy departments.

These discussions will pave the way for finalizing necessary background for Mission Document.

In the noon, Union minister Shri Ramesh will attend a meeting with Urban Administration Minister Babulal Gaur.

At 2.30, Jairam Ramesh will hold talks with special invitees of non-government organisations at Circuit House at Lal Ghati.

The Union Minister will leave for Indore in the night.
