Government start preparations for next year’s Global Investors Summit

Bhopal: After getting the tremendous response to last year’s Global Investors Summit, the Madhya Pradesh Government has started its preparation for next year’s summit. Chief Secretary R. Parshuran has announced that a separate cell will be set up at the Trade Investment Facilitaion Corporation (TRIFAC).
Presiding the meeting of empowered committee, Shir Parshuram has informed that Chinese investors have expressed their interest in logistic sector in Madhya Pradesh. They want to visit the state, so the TRIFAC should coordinate it.
Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Shri P.K. Das presented the agenda for the Global investors summit-2014.  The Chief Secretary said that preparations should be started right now.

He stressed the need for a separate cell at the TRIFAC for this. The cell should be under the charge of a departmental officer. It was also decided at the meeting that only one agency will be the knowledge partner for the Summit. The TRIFAC would coordinate the activities of all the department for the Summit.
It was informed that a meeting is scheduled for January 15 for effective follow-up of the last Investors’ Summit. Departments associated with infrastructure related activities would also participate in the meeting.
While approving the additional budget of the Summit it was decided to provide the audited details of the expenditures to the finance department. Senior officers of concerning departments attended the meeting.
