Give best contribution to state’s development: CM

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan unfurled National Flag and inspected parade at Republic Day function at Vidisha district headquarters today. The Chief Minister urged state’s people to give their best contribution to state’s development. Everyone should try to do his best wherever he is. He said that every citizen should contribute in Madhya Pradesh Banao Abhiyan, plant saplings, conserve water, keep city clean and respect daughters. Good governance is the government’s motto. Zero tolerance policy against corruption is being adopted.

The Chief Minister said that every citizen should dedicate himself to making Madhya Pradesh a developed state. Efforts are being made to concretise concept of social justice in the state. Every possible effort is being made to ensure that benefits of development reach common people and the poor make economic progress. No village in the state will be devoid of roads during next 5 years. He said that Vidisha will be developed as ideal city. For this, a separate city development plan will be chalked out. Bhopal to Vidisha-Sagar-Guna corridor will be developed. A tourist circuit of Vidisha district’s historic places will be developed. Vidisha’s ITI will be upgraded. He said that Vidisha stadium will be renovated and brought to national level. He said that number of doctors in government hospitals will be increased. Women’s self-help groups will be strengthened.

Chief Minister Shri Chouhan inspected parade at Police Ground at Republic Day function in an open jeep. He was accompanied by Collector Shri M.B. Ojha and SP Shri Dharmendra Singh. Attractive march past was held by contingents of Special Armed Force, district police, home guards, NCC and Scout & Guide. Fires were shot in the air amidst slogans of “Gantantra Diwas Amar Rahe”. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan took introduction of parade commanders. He felicitated freedom fighters and senior citizens.

School children presented colourful cultural programmes at the function. Events of marshal arts, Malkhambh and taekwondo were also held, which were appreciated by the Chief Minister. Various departments took out attractive tableaux. Shri Chouhan announced Rs. one lakh prize for each school which participated in cultural programmes and drill. Chief Minister’s wife Smt. Sadhna Singh, public representatives and dignitaries were also present on the occasion.
