Free quality treatment of diabetes at government hospitals
Bhopal : Free test, consultation and treatment of diabetes with quality will be made available in all district hospitals in the state in the series to provide quality health services to citizens of the state. MoUs in this regard were signed in the presence of Health Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra here today. Principal Secretary Health Gauri Singh, Commissioner Health Pankaj Agrawal and other senior departmental officers were present on the occasion.
The MoUs were signed by Public Health and Family Welfare Department with Nova Nodisk Education Foundation, Bengaluru and Novartis Private Limited, Mumbai. On behalf of the department, the MoUs were signed by Director Dr. K.L. Sahu and Vinay Ransiwal on behalf of the institution.
As per the MoU, free NSD clinics in all district hospitals will provide free test, consultation and treatment of diabetes. These free diabetes clinics will be conducted and maintained by trained staff. MoU was signed with Nova Nodisk Education Foundation for 47 districts and Novartis for 4 districts. A pilot project, these clinics are being run at Gwalior, Datia and Bhopal. With signing of these MoUs, these clinics will be established in all districts of the state.
