Former CM Late Shri Patwa Cremated with Full State Honour

Kukdeshwar. Last Funeral Rites of the Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Late Shri Sunderlal Patwa were performed with full state honour at Kukdeshwar of district Neemuch today. CM Shri Chouhan and the Senior Leaders laid wreath on the mortal remains of late Shri Patwa and gave shoulders to the bier. Nephew and Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Shri Surendra Patwa lit the pyre. Shri Chouhan accompanied the funeral procession begun from the house of late Shri Patwa till the cremation place.

The mortal remains of the Former CM Late Shri Patwa was brought to the Neemuch by air ambulance in the morning today. From there the moral remains was taken to his home town Kukdeshwar. The remains of late Shri Patwa was kept for last glimpse at late Shri Patwa‘s residence Phulwari and at Patwa Manglik Bhavan. In the afternoon, last funeral rites were performed amid chanting mantras with full state honour.

CM Shri Chouhan said that late Shri Patwa was a Vikas Purush of the State. His death has brought an end to the era. He was above the politics. Late Shri Patwa was a symbol of modest and decorous politics. He was an energetic political leader who had the skills to take all along together. The state has lost a vibrant leader and his death is an irreparable loss for the state. Shri Chouhan prayed to the Almighty to grant peace to the departed soul and to give strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.

Paying floral tribute on behalf of the people of Chhattisgarh, Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh said that Late Shri Patwa was always closely linked with the Chhattisgarh state. Several memories are linked with him during the time of undivided Madhya Pradesh. He was a skilled organizer.

Union Minister Sushri Uma Bharti said that death of Shri Patwa is an irreparable loss to the state. He had sacrificed everything for the welfare of the people despite being a householder. He was a dauntless person.

Former Deputy PM Shri Lalkrishna Advani said that Late Shri Patwa had skillfully managed the state for many years and gave a new direction of development to the state. Such a huge personality is no longer with us now. We will miss him all the time.

Archana Chitnis, Shri Paras Jain, Shri Gourishankar Bisen, Shri Antar Singh Arya, Ministers of State Shri Lal Singh Arya, Shri Deepak Joshi, leaders of the country and state, all the Public Representatives of Neemuch and Mandsaur districts besides local residents in large number had last glimpse of the mortal remains of late Shri Patwa and paid floral tribute to the departed soul. Former Minister Shri Narendra Nahta, Shri Ramlal, Shri Suresh Soni, other senior Leaders and Ministers expressed condolence.

Former CM Shri Kailash Joshi, MP Shri Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan, Shri Suhas Bhagat, Shri Arvind Menon, Shri Makhan Singh Chouhan, Shri Kailash Vijavargiya, MP Shri Sudhir Gupta, Vice Chairman State Planning Commission Shri Chetanya Kashyap, Chhattisgarh Ministers Shri Brijmohan Agrawal, Shri Rajesh Moonat, Shri Dharmalal Koushik, Minister for Agriculture of Haryana State Shri Omprakash Dhangar, MP Shri Rodmal Nagar, Former MP Sushri Minakshi Natrajan, MLA Shri Kailash Chawla, Shri Omprakash Saklecha, Shri Dilipsingh Parihar, Shri Jagdish Dewda, Shri Yashpal Singh Sisodia, Shri Chandersingh Sisodia, Dr. Mohan Yadav, Shri Sudershan Gupta, President Jila Panchayat Smt. Avantika Jat and Former Minister Shri Vikram Verma attended the funeral. Local people in large number attended the funeral and paid tribute to the departed soul.
