Five new government medical colleges to be opened in State

Bhopal: Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that five new government medical colleges will be opened in the state. Talents will not be ignored in the times of increasing commercialisation of education. The State Government has implemented Education Loan Guarantee Scheme. Shri Chouhan was inaugurating national convention-cum-exhibition “Youth Expo” at Ravindra Bhavan here today.
Shri Chouhan said that education’s aim should be imparting knowledge, skill and inculcating civic values. Effective efforts are underway in this regard in the state. Skill Development Mission has been constituted. Efforts are being made to disseminate best knowledge to imbue morality, patriotism, commitment and honesty in people. He said that respect to all religion is in the roots of India. A decision has been taken to include teachings of Gita in course with a view to disseminate this spirit.
The Chief Minister said that that Chief Minister is first servant of people in democracy. A true democracy is where government is by the people and for the people. In the state, efforts are being made to chalk out schemes and change definitions of development keeping this in view, people’s participation in government’s decisions has been ensured. Schemes are being chalked out as per people’s aspirations through panchayats being held at Chief Minister’s residence. He said that this process is continuing. Now, panchayats for youths, hair-dressers, farmers etc. will be held.
Quoting Swami Vivekananda, Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that youths are not confined to a particular age group. Everyone who is speed in his legs, flames in eyes, fire in heart and who does not have word ‘impossible’ in his dictionary is a youth. He said that only efforts of the government are not enough in ensuring public welfare and development. Government’s role should be confined to motivator and promoter. He said that there is immense potential in tourism sector in the country and state. Basic and transport facilities need to be developed. Referring to important tourist centres in the state, that entry of cooperative sector in tourism will give new heights to tourism development. Shri Chouhan launched Bharat Parikrama Portal of the institution.
National Youth Cooperative Society Chairman Shri Rajesh Pandey said that future of Indian belongs to youths. As per an estimate, India will be the youngest country in year 2030. He said that efforts are afoot to give creative vision to youths and make them economically self-reliant through cooperative movement. He said that Madhya Pradesh is the only state of the country where ambitions and aspirations of youths have been understood in a better way. He said that the organisation is making efforts to make available jobs to youths through cooperative movement in the context of the same spirit of the State Government.
In the welcome address, Madhya Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Chairman Dr. Mohan Yadav said that State Government’s efforts have given a new identity to Madhya Pradesh in the country. The State Government has set new records in tourism sector. A number of states are emulating Madhya Pradesh’s development schemes and its efforts in the tourism sectors have also been lauded by other states. Air Taxi Scheme launched by Madhya Pradesh government has been replicated by Gujarat and other states.
At the outset, the guests inaugurated the expo by lighting a lamp. National General Secretary of Bharatiya Janata Party and MP Shri Dharmendra Singh Yadav, Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad Regional Organising Secretary Shri Vishnudutt Sharma, National Youth Cooperative Society Board of Director members Shri Ashish Sood, Shri Santosh Mahalingam, Chief Engineer of Eastern Railways Shri Ashwini Lohani and large number of youths were present on the occasion.
