First Installment of Aid for Rural Road Connectivity in MP Released

A grant in aid worth Rs 100,74,50,000 (Rupees One Hundred crore Seventy Four Lakh and Fifty Thousand) has been released by the Centre to Madhya Pradesh for road connectivity, a release from Press Information Bureau said.

The Ministry of Rural Development released the sum as first installment to the Madhya Pradesh Rural Roads Development Agency (MPRRDA) under ADB assisted RRSIP, said release.

With the funds, roads will be constructed in the rural areas of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, said release.

MPRRDA is an Autonomous Body for receiving funds under PMGSY and is a duly Registered Society under Society Registration Act, towards the projects cleared by Asian Development Bank (ADB).

Release said that the grant is towards plan expenditure and would accordingly be subject to the conditions laid down in the guidelines for Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana issued from time to time by the Central Government.
