Transatlantic Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Shannon: Reports
A security alert has forced a transatlantic flight carrying 224 passengers from Amsterdam to the Caribbean to make an emergency landing at Shannon Airport in Ireland, say media reports.
The Arkefly flight, a Boeing 767, requested to land at Shannon citing difficulties with an unruly passenger, said BBC.
Following the landing the Irish police are reported to have taken into custody a 44-year-old Dutch man and searches are being conducted on the aircraft.
