Export agreements worth Rs. 1201 crore signed

Bhopal: Three-day Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet MP Exportech held here to afford global forum to Madhya Pradesh’s small entrepreneurs concluded here today. Export agreements worth Rs. 1201 crore were signed between Madhya Pradesh’s entrepreneurs and foreign buyers at the meet. As many as 6 agreements were signed in the presence of Laghu Udyog Nigam Chairman Shri Akhand Pratap Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Industries Shri P.K. Dash and Commissioner Industries Shri T. Dharma Rao.

Sharing their experiences at the concluding function of the event organised jointly by the Union Industries Department and Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam, some foreign buyers described Exportech as a very meaningful initiative. The foreign buyers also lauded arrangements made at the venue, hospitality of Madhya Pradesh government and work culture in the state.

Agreements: At the Exportech, maximum agreements worth Rs. 628 crore 23 lakh were singed in engineering & machine tools sector followed by Rs. over 331 crore 38 lakh agreements in power & energy products, Rs. 199 crore 59 lakh food, agro and herbal products, Rs. 17 crore 14 lakh for packaging & plastic products, Rs. 16 crore 50 lakh for products & services technology transfer sector and agreements worth Rs. 8 crore 48 lakh were singed in textiles sector.

Districtwise breakup

Indore remained on top in export agreements. Foreign buyers singed agreements worth Rs. 750 crore 50 lakh with entrepreneurs of Indore followed by Rs. Rs. 394 crore 75 lakh Bhopal, Rs. 30 crore 25 lakh Mandsaur, Rs.13 crore 75 lakh Jabalpur, Rs. 10 crore 51 lakh Dewas and export agreements worth Rs. one crore 11 lakh were signed with entrepreneurs of Betul district. Besides, Rs. 14 lakh agreements with entrepreneurs of Dhar district and Rs. 14 lakh with Ujjain district were also signed.

Agreement between LUN and Uganda: During the Exportech, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam signed an agreement with Uganda Consumer Cooperative Union for products, services and transfer of technology. As per the agreements, the union will provide marketing channel for sale of Madhya Pradesh’s products in Uganda. In turn, Madhya Pradesh Laghu Udyog Nigam will provide market in and outside the state to products of Uganda. Besides, the corporation will also provide packaging technique to Uganda Consumer Cooperative Union.

On the occasion, Laghu Udyog Nigam Chairman Shri Akhand Pratap Singh said that the 5th Exportech turned out to be the most successful Exportech in the state so far. As many as 77 foreign buyers and diplomats of 20 countries participated in it.
