EVMs to be reserved at 20 percent of polling booth’s number

Bhopal: During urban body elections, EVMs will be reserved at the rate of 20 percent of total number of polling booths. If number of EVMs is less than that of wards then minimum one EVM will be made available as reserved for every ward.
State Election Commissioner Shri R. Parasuram informed that additional EVMs will be given to the urban bodies where number of EVMs is less than number of wards. Allotment of reserved EVMs will be made by concerning collector and district election officer after randomisation through tracking and monitoring application of EVMs. The During urban body elections, EVMs will be reserved at the rate of 20 percent of total number of polling booths.
