Enrich Rivers’ Future and Save Maa Narmada

Hoshangabad. ‘Namami Devi Narmade’ –Seva Yatra reached village Goyat Nandra late night for its 41st halt. MLA Shri Sanjay Shah handed over Narmada Yatra flag and kalash to the Former Minister Shri Kamal Patel and District B.J.P. President Shri Amarsingh Patel at Goyat. MLA Shri Ramkishore Dogane was present on the occasion.

Rivers Can Be Saved by Undertaking Plantation

Former Minister Shri Kamal Patel said that people of all the sections of the society will have to come forward with self inspiration to save Maa Narmada from extinction and to enrich future of other rivers. He further said that the Narmada flow has lessened because of deforestation on the banks of Narmada. The water level can be increased and environmental conditions can be improved by undertaking plentiful plantation with public participation. He informed the villagers about the scheme of the state government for undertaking fruits plantation. He administered pledge to the villagers to keep the Narmda water clean and pure. Shri Patel informed that Narmada ghats will be renovated and necessary facilities will be provided for the devotees. He also told the villagers not to dispose off poojan material on the shores of Narmada River.

Sadhvi Pragya Bharti throwing light on the aims of the Narmada Seva Yatra said that the intention of the Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan is to adorn Narmada by offering Green Chunri. Therefore, scheme has been prepared to undertake fruits and umbrageous plantation in one kilometer radius on both the banks of Narmada River. She told the villagers to perform funeral rituals in the mukti dhams. Moreover she told the villagers to immerse poojan material, flowers, coconut etc. in the immersion kunds. She informed that sewage treatment plants will be established by the state government on the banks of Narmada. The Chief Minister Shri Chouhan has announced an amount of Rs. 1500 crore at Amrkantak for this. She further said that Narmada path will be made up of concrete for the convenience of the devotees. After the group Aarti, folk songs and dances focusing importance of Narmada River were presented by the villagers.

Third Day of Yatra in Harda District

On the third day of yatra in Harda district, villagers in large number participated in the yatra and proceeded for village Ajnai, Surajna and Bhamori. Yatra was welcomed by the women from places to places. Sarpanch of the grampanchayat received the kalash and welcomed the yatra. Attractive rangolis were made by the girls to welcome the yatra. Slogans like “Nadi Nahin Yeh Janni Hai, Raksha Humko Karni Hai and Maa Narmada Ka Karein Shringaar, Vrakshya Lagayien Chhayadaar” were raised to spread awareness among the people. Yatra was given warm reception at several places by people of various religions. They said that Maa Narmada holds top position in their lives.
