Death of 17-year-old girl remains suspicious who committed suicide by jumping from 9th floor in Bhopal; parents are senior police officials

The daughter of an Additional DCP couple jumped from the 9th floor in Bhopal on Thursday night. The investigation into the incident which took place under suspicious circumstances is ongoing. Meanwhile, the investigation so far has made it clear that Mehti Dixit had reached the 9th floor with the intention of committing suicide. She was seen entering the campus at 9:20 am. Exactly 11 minutes later at 9:31, he jumped from the window on the side of the lift.

His grandmother lives on the 8th floor of this building. Who is currently in Pune. In such a situation, it is believed that Mehti might have gone here only with the intention of committing suicide. Police have found one of Mehti’s sandals from the spot from where he jumped. Currently the CDR (call detail record) of his mobile is being scrutinized. Due to which the real reason behind the death will be revealed.

Police have found a 200-page diary from the incident site. It has been confiscated. It is being told that Mehti used to write special things related to her everyday life in this diary. Everything from January 1 this year till a few hours before the suicide has been written in this diary. Many poems and shayari have also been written in the diary.

Mehti’s mobile phone was also found by the police at the incident site itself. Which did not have a lock. However, no suicide note was found in it. Police are also examining the call detail record (CDR) of his mobile. On Saturday evening, the police recorded the statements of 4 people living in Riviera Heights. All four told that they saw the girl only after she fell.

Mehti had passed the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) with good marks. He had also taken admission in NLIU. SI Gaurav Pandey said that the statements of the family members could not be recorded at present. Mehti’s family is originally from Narmadapuram. His parents are there. The statements will be recorded after their arrival. The CDR of the mobile is being scrutinized.

According to Kamla Nagar Police, Mehti Dixit lived with her parents in CharImli, Bhopal. His father is Additional DCP Traffic Sandeep Dixit and mother Shalini Dixit is posted as Additional DCP Zone-3. Both are officers of the State Police Service.

At the time of the incident, Sandeep Dixit was out of the district due to assembly election duty. Whereas mother was in Bhopal. On Thursday night, Mehti Dixit had gone to her maternal grandparents’ house in the 10-storey Riviera Heights located next to the Riviera Township near the Mata Temple. She entered the campus at around 9:20 pm. At 9:31 he committed suicide by jumping from the 9th floor.
