Court remands accused to jail: IPS Officer Killing

GWALIOR: Manoj Gurjar, accused of IPS officer Narendra Kumar’s murder has been remanded to Morena sub-jail by a local Court here on Friday. He was arrested a day after the incident on tool place on March 9.

Initially, he was in the custody of the state police. The CBI however, concentrated on gathering key information about the alleged involvement of any officials of the state’s mineral resource department in the murder case.

The CBI also questioned the officials of mineral department and administration regarding the case. The sources say’s that the CBI is engaged in gathering information about the illegal mining against which IPS Narendra Kumar acted.

Manoj Gurjar on Tuesday was given on remand by a local court, to three-day CBI custody after which he was taken to guest house of SAF battalion where CBI grilled him. A recreation of the scene of the incident was also created by the CBI.
