Congress protests price hike by buying vegetables

The Congress in Chhattisgarh on Friday organized protests outside vegetable markets across the state to focus attention on the steep hike in prices of vegetables.

The protest in Raipur took place at various places including the Shastri Market where Congress leaders and workers led by PCC chief Mohan Markam also bought vegetables.

Vegetable vendors told Markam that there was a steep hike in vegetable prices including of potato, onion and tomato.

Chhattisgarh Excise Minister Kawasi Lakhma too participated in the protest.
